I'll be 49 in 11 Weeks and This is How I Want to Feel...
Here goes…
First of all…I’m not good at phrasing, and I always hesitate to post because I might not say the right thing, but I will try, so here goes… (I won’t be editing this by the way because I’ll overthink it and I’ll share more in the days and weeks to come so stay with me)
1. We can’t tell health by our weight, but what I do know about myself anyway is that when I eat less processed foods and stay away from dairy and gluten, I feel better. I’ve always been this way, ever since I was a teenager. You may not know this about me, but I’ve lost and gained the same 20-25 lbs many times over the last 35 years.
2. I know weight isn’t a good measure, so even though that’s my goal number, I won’t be judging it by the scale. I’m going to judge it by how I feel. Right now, I know that I need to stay off dairy, gluten, sugar, and alcohol and let my gut heal. I know I’ll feel better, sleep better, and not have headaches.
3. I’m the type of person who needs a plan. The best one I’ve found is not a fad or trend, but I call the Dr Clinic 30 program.
For my height it’s every day
6 servings protein
2 veg
3 fruit
2 dairy or you can use those as protein
4 carbs but you can do those as starchy veg or potato
Minimal fat
Raw veg is unlimited, and there’s a soup that you can make and eat unlimited for hunger

3. I’ll be 49 in 11 weeks from today, and my goal is to feel really good again by my birthday. Don’t misunderstand… it’s more about how I feel inside and out. I love and appreciate my body and what it does for me, but at my age, especially, I need to take the best care of it that I can.
4. I also take some gut supplements to help my gut heal. I’ve felt bloated when I eat for a while, and I need to fix that. I’m also very aware that hormones play a huge role at my age. Recently, my cortisol has been high, so we will see how that affects my journey. I’ll have it checked again to keep an eye on it. If you’re in the same boat, I’ll let you know.
I started this account a few years ago and am unsure what to post. I’ve had this in my mind, and I think for now, showing up and being here will help me stay accountable and do what I need to do to feel the way I want to feel. ā¤ļø
